Hunt the Hashknife is a family-run operation. Our children Rob, Jared, and Jenna started bowhunting when they were very young. Jared’s wife Amanda and Jenna’s husband Matt are both avid bow hunters as well, and so are several of our grandchildren. We started Hunt the Hashknife with Jared shortly after he and Amanda settled on the ranch. Amanda helps us out in various roles, Matt guides on occasion, and the grandkids pitch in sometimes too.

Edward Robbins Koger, Jr.
1976-2011
Our oldest son Rob spent quite a few years away from Kansas earning a degree in economics and an M.B.A., and then pursuing a career in business and finance in cities far from home. Eventually, his love for the ranch drew him back to begin his own ranching career here. He strongly encouraged us to expand and diversify, insisting “you’ve got to run it like a business, not just a family tradition,” and was very helpful to us when we started Hunt the Hashknife. He is greatly missed, but he is still with us in spirit, always.
